The Society for Ecology holds its annual conference at a different location each year and is one of the most important and comprehensive specialist conferences on ecology in the German-speaking world. Every few years, the conference is also held jointly with other societies in Europe.
The next GfÖ annual conference in 2026 will be held together with the Nordic Society OIKOS (NSO) in Odense, Denmark, from September 13 to September 17.
